CHEESE & SESAME ROLLS
COOKBOOK: Miele - Moist Plus
These were amazing! When I buy them from then bakers they seem to be slightly on the greasy side. Not these ones! Just perfect with that cheese flavour running through each bite.
These definitely did not last long in my household!
Hope you enjoy
500g self raining flour
50g parmesan cheese, grated
1 teaspoon salt
1 pinch of sugar
2 large eggs
75g melted butter
40g fresh yeast or ( 1 x 7g sachet) dried yeast
150ml lukewarm milk
8 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 x egg, beaten
120g shredded tasty cheese
Preheat oven to moderate (180C)
Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk, allow it to stand for 5-10mins until frothy.
Put the flour, salt, sugar, melted butter, parmesan cheese in a mixing bowl. Add the yeast, Mix and combine well. (I like to use the knead attachment on my mixer but this can be done by hand)
Knead the dough for approx 5mins. Set aside cover with glad wrap and allow it to rise (approx 30mins)- preferably place it in a warm area.
Take the dough and roll approx 10 equal rolls. Dip the lower part into the sesame seeds and place them on a lined baking tray.
Brush the tops of the rolls with egg and add a generous amount of grate cheese on the top of buns. Bake until golden. (apron 30-40mins)
