COOKBOOK: Mag recipe

Pork spare ribs are absolutely delicious. You can barbecue, grill or bake them.

I was excited to make this recipe with a taste of chinese.

It did not disappoint me! Honey, soy sauce, tomato sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic and chinese five spice powder was a delicious marinade and I highly recommend it. I served it with a green salad.


Serves 4

1.5kg pork spare ribs


2 tablespoons of garlic, chopped finely

2 tablespoons tomato paste

3 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon chinese five spice powder

1 tablespoon of hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce

Cut the ribs into serving sizes

Combine marinade ingredients together. Mix well over the pork ribs and allow to marinade for 30mins.

Barbecue the pork ribs,approx 8-10mins turning once. Ready to serve .
