PIE BURGERS

COOKBOOK: School Lunches & After School Snacks
What a great way to make a pie for the kids & family! Super easy and so much fun to make. As quickly as I was making them, they were disappearing. This a great idea for a lunchtime snack for the kids!
This has a very simple filling which worked very well in this pie.
Give this one a go, you will love it!

RECIPE
Makes 18
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 kilo minced beef
1/2 cup tomato sauce
4 tablespoon flour
2 x 30g french soup sachets
2 cups tasty grated cheese
1 cup parmesan cheese
4 x puff pastry sheets
Heat oven to 180C.
Pour 1/4 of the lightly beaten egg in a bowl and set aside.
Combine mince, the rest of the egg, tomato sauce, flour, soup sachet, and both cheeses in a bowl. Mix well.
Lay out one sheet of pastry on a flat surface. Place 9 blobs, approx 2 tablespoons each, on the sheet. Place three rows of three leaving a division between each one.
Place the second sheet of pastry over the top. I used a chopstick to make an indent between each of the rows. With a fork, push down on the pastry to join the pastry on both sides of the indentation.
With a sharp knife, cut along the lines so you now have nine separate pies.
Break each pie carefully and place on a tray lined with baking paper. Lightly slash each pie. Brush each pie with the egg that was set aside. Bake in 180C oven for 20-25mins or until puffy and golden.
