Do you want to add variety into your milk drinks?

This couldn't get any easier! Fruit, milk and honey, blend for 30sec and drink!

The banana smoothie was delicious! It was my favourite of the two. Strawberry smoothie was very nice but I'm a sucker for banana and honey.

What milk can I use? Any! No rules here. Soy, almond, coconut or any other type is fine. I went for full cream milk which is the family's favourite.

Stick it in the fridge for half hour to get the chill in the smoothie and they will love it!

Milk is so important for young ones. It strengthens their bones and is a good source of protein, vitamin D and calcium.

I read that there has been recent studies which advice that milk doesn't necessarily strengthen the bones. I'm old school, I don't believe this. A day job is a day job and researches have to keep theirs! Today they will advice this and in 2 yrs time they'll revert back to the 'goodness and importance' of drinking milk.

RECIPE

SERVES 2

STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE

250g punnet of strawberries, chopped

1 1/2 cup of milk (any of your choice)

1 tablespoon of honey

Place ingredients into blender. Blend until smooth.

BANANA SMOOTHIE

2 ripe bananas, chopped

1 1/2 cups of milk (any of your choice)

1 tablespoon of honey

Place ingredients into blender. Blend until smooth.​
