GRILLED BANANAS WITH MANGO SORBET

Dont throw away those bananas that are starting to look a little brown from the outside! You can transform them into something delicious!
I was very fortunate to have some of these sitting in my fruit basket when this recipe appeared. Everyone went back for seconds! The brown sugar gave them a caramelised topping and the fresh passionfruit seeds gave them the ‘kick’ that finished it off.
Served with mango or passionfruit sorbet and it makes a great dessert.
Eat it or Starve!?? Eat it all ……but not the banana skin!
4 bananas (soft and looking sad)
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 medium passionfruit
4 scoops of mango or passionfruit sorbet
Split the unpeeled banana in half, lengthways. Place the banana halves, cut see up, on an oven tray.
Sprinkle the bananas with brown sugar. Grill until brown sugar melts and has browned lightly.
Remove the from the grill. Let them stand for a few minutes. Drizzle bananas with passionfruit pulp and serve with sorbet.
