The photo was taken in a hurry and it doesn’t show off how delicious this burger was……
No doubt this is time consuming but good food has never been made in five minutes.
What I love about making my own burgers is that I have control of the spices, herbs and everything else that is added. I also love that I have control in what oils I fry my burger with. The healthiest option but more expensive, olive oil.
Great recipe!
Enjoy
RECIPE
Serves 4
500g minced beef
1 onion , chopped finely
2 eggs lightly beaten
1/3 cup breadcrumbs
salt and pepper for seasoning
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
1 tablespoon steak seasoning
Olive oli for frying
BURGER FILLING
2 onions, cut into thin rings
4 slices cheddar cheese
4 eggs
4 pieces of rindless bacon
4 hamburger buns
Shredded lettuce
1 large tomato, sliced
sliced beetroot (optional)
4 pineapple rings
Place the mince , chopped onion, egg, breadcrumbs, salt & pepper, steak seasoning and mix well.
Divide mixture into 4 portions (approx 2 large tablespoons each)
Shape into balls and then press down to form the patties. Leave them a little on the thicker side.
Heat the oil in frying pan and fry the eggs until set and set aside. Fry the onion rings until soft and set aside. Fry the bacon until cooked and crispy and set aside.
Using the same oil (it may need a small top-up) fry the patties approx 3 mins each side or until cooked through.
Prepare the buns, butter them or spread with tomato sauce. Start building your burger with the lot!
Ready to serve!
