So easy to make!
The only thing that I can see go wrong is that you haven’t doubled the quantity to make more!
These little pasties are just perfect for a picnic, or to take to work or school lunches! Serve them with tomato sauce or a salad and you will be vey satisfied.
1 tablespoon of olive oil
400g minced beef
1 cup frozen mixed peas and corn
Salt and pepper
2 tablespoons of taco seasoning
2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
1 egg lightly beaten
Preheat oven at 180C. Grease a flat oven tray.
Heat oil in frying pan and brown minced beef. Add taco seasoning and salt and pepper. Add peas and corn and set aside to cool for approx 5mins.
Take a sheet of thawed puff pastry and cut into 4 squares.
Brush edges on all the sides of the square with beaten egg.
Take a large tablespoon of minced beef mixture and place it in the centre of each square.
Fold one corner of the pastry over to enclose the mixture and form a triangle. With a fork, enclose the two sides by pinching & sealing the pastie. With a knife, round corners of pastie and tidy up edges if required.
Brush pasties with egg and bake for 20mins or until golden brown. Serve with tomato sauce and salad.
