Watching the slice of cheese melt over the patty just topped this off! All that is required is to put the chicken breast pieces, onion pieces, breadcrumbs, egg, grated cheese and salt and pepper in a processor and blend until minced (approx 1min)

Form the shape of a patty, no need to refrigerate , just heat up the oil in a pan and fry away…….Absolutely delicious!!

Now this is what a call a great home made burger!!!

RECIPE

SERVES 4

500g chicken breast, chopped roughly

1 onion, chopped roughly

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated cheese

1 egg, lightly beaten

salt and pepper

olive oil for frying

4 slices of cheese

4 hamburger buns

lettuce, shredded

mayo

Blend the chicken & onion in processor. Add the breadcrumbs, egg, grated cheese and salt and pepper. Process again until combined well.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions. Press firmly and shape into a patty.

Heat oil in frying pan (enough to cover nicely the bottom of the pan) and fry the patties for approx 4-5mins on each side. ( I like to turn them one or twice during the cooking period). Cook until golden and cooked through.

Place the burger/ patty on a bun with mayo and lettuce. Top patty with a slice of cheese and watch it melt over the burger.

Ready to serve.
